CCCNZ Successfully Holds 2025 Special General Meeting
Resolutions Passed on Re-registration, Charter Revision, and Leadership Transition
On May 16, 2025, the China Chamber of Commerce in New Zealand (CCCNZ) successfully held its 2025 Special General Meeting on the 19th floor of the Bank of China building in Auckland. With the active participation and support of its member organizations, the meeting successfully completed its agenda and laid a solid foundation for the Chamber’s compliance, organizational development, and future growth.
The meeting was chaired by Mr. Hu Beihai, CEO of Bank of China (New Zealand) Ltd. Most voting members either attended in person or authorized proxies to vote. The meeting unanimously passed three key resolutions:
1. To immediately re-register the Chamber in accordance with the Incorporated Societies Act 2022, ensuring lawful and compliant operations.
2. To adopt the 2025 Edition of the CCCNZ Constitution, which systematically defines the organizational structure, member rights and responsibilities, meeting mechanisms, and financial management policies, thereby providing institutional assurance for sustainable development.
3. To elect and appoint a new Executive Council and Registered Contact Person. The new leadership team represents key industries including banking, aviation, construction, dairy, and logistics, and holds broad representativeness and professional influence.

The new leadership team will continue to uphold the mission of “serving members, promoting cooperation, and advancing China–New Zealand economic and trade relations.” They are committed to enhancing the Chamber’s service capacity, fostering bilateral business cooperation, and supporting the high-quality development of Chinese enterprises in New Zealand.
The successful convening of this Special General Meeting signifies a new phase in the Chamber’s institutional development, governance, and strategic direction. CCCNZ will continue to build a more open, standardized, and pragmatic platform for cooperation, delivering greater value to its members.
